Sri Lanka Cricket Board declared that Kusal Mendis and Shehan Jayasuriya will likely to miss final T20I series against New Zealand which scheduled on this Friday at Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy.

Mendis and Jayasuriya collide each other near the boundary to save the much-needed final over six for New Zealand last night. Shehan Jayasuriya took the catch and kept his leg on the boundary line following by the collide with his teammate Kusal Mendis.

This incident eventually injured both the player. Since the duo suffered a leg injury they are unlikely to be available for the final T20I game against New Zealand on this Friday.

Mendis has suffered an injury on his right leg knee, while Jayasuriya developed an injury above the knee of his right leg. Sri Lanka cricket board planned to go with the available players in the squad against New Zealand and there is no replacement.
